Joan was an interesting character who is naive because she was never told anything about monster life, and yet, she’s got an awesome inner strength that she grabs onto as the story progresses. I really enjoyed this concept, and the world of monsters that was created throughout the story! As the story unfolds, there was more and more to learn about the world of monsters, and it was fascinating! If they steal an hour, that person will die one hour sooner than they should have. So, what makes Joan a monster? Her family steals time from others to time travel.

Unfortunately, the way she finds out is pretty awful, and she has to run for her life! This is a YA fantasy about a young girl, Joan, who finds out she’s a monster and the boy she was on a date with is a monster-hunter. I didn’t read what it was about, I was just like that looks awesome, and I wasn’t wrong, YAY! 🤣 So, I picked this book up only because of the cover.
